Iberian Mouflon
Ovis aries musimon
The European mouflon, with beautiful spiral horns, in a demanding stalk across the Spanish mountains.
The European mouflon (Ovis aries musimon) thrives in the mountainous regions of Castilla y León, Extremadura and Andalusia. With prized spiral horns, it offers a stalk that rarely allows a second chance; it is also hunted driven. We manage four thousand hectares specifically for large trophies, across three distinct hunting areas. It pairs perfectly with red and fallow deer on a single trip.

Questions about this hunt
When is the Iberian mouflon hunted?
From September to May, one of the longest seasons in our big game, flying into Madrid or Valencia.
Why is it a good add-on to other hunts?
Its long season and spiral horns make it the natural add-on to an ibex, the stag rut or a montería, with barely a change to your itinerary.
Stalking or driven?
Both are possible. Stalking is the classic trophy hunt; on a driven day the mouflon adds excitement to the bag. We decide with you when designing the trip.
We design your hunt bespoke. Your outfitter details the proposal privately.
